Growing in Central Anatolia and Southeast Anatolia Regions in Turkey, cumin is an annual plant blossoming in white-pink flowers in summer months. After the plant matured its oval shaped seeds are gathered and dried, and the cumin spice is obtained by grounding these seeds. It has a sharp and bitter taste. It is widely used in food sector.
